Fragonard
Vintage Zizanie
Discontinued and rare

  • Ununusal shaped bottle, almost full. Bakelite lid, with an old label around neck that reads "Fragonard Grasse". Doesn't state the name of perfume, but I beleive this is Zizanie as I have seen this bottle once before and it had a Zizanie label on the body of the bottle. 5 1/2" tall by 3 3/4" wide, approximately 4 oz. I would say this is from the late 1940s. Zizanie was first released in 1932 as a man's cologne. I have been unable to open the bottle. I guess it takes a man. lol

  • Wonderful perfume bottle with label and box. Has a frosted embossed stopped with a floral motiff. 3/4 of the original perfume remains, due to evaporation. Looks like a 1 oz size bottle. Bottle is 3 1/2" tall. Lovely botle that feels so nice to hold. Really nice box.

Mellier
Jasmin
Great Art Nouveau Bottle

  • Beautiful large frosted top glass bottle from around 1910-1920.

Stands 5 1/2" tall by 3 3/4" at widest point. Has metal label that reads Mellier's Jasmin, New York St. Louis. Ground pontil bottom, applied neck and lip. Stopper is perfect with grapes and leaves raised on top. Bottle has the same raised motif running down corners of bottle. Bottle has age bubbles and slight purple tint. Bottle is clean and stopper is removable and still holds a great seal. The best part of this bottle is the fantastic Jasmine perfume inside, which is in excellent condition. I would guess there is about 2 oz of perfume still inside.

Don't miss out of this beautiful vintage bottle, that will display fantastic!

This is a beautiful and rare French perfume bottle. It is a large bottle and stands a 5 1/2" tall x 3 3/4 " wide.

J Giraud Fils Paris
Ses Fleurs Violette
Vintage 1 1/2 oz Parfum

  • The stopper on this bottle is breathtaking and is very detailed. I unsealed this bottle 8 years ago, and there has been some leakage of the bottle inside the box, but it has long since sealed itself with no evaporation in the last 8 years that I have owned this. I would date this to pre 1935.

Coque D'or translates from French to English as Golden Shell. It is acid etched Made in France on the polished bottom.

Satin lined
African Leather Box

  • This is an usual item to find. I collect Egyptian artifacts and bottles. This is a rare item to find. Beautiful colors. The bottom is stamped "Zariffa" with a Giraffe. I have seen one other box like this for sale in England, and that box was identical except Benghazi was stamped on the front of their box. I would say this was made between 1890 to 1920 or so. There is minor rust on the clasp on the front. No rips or defect on the interior of the box. I bought this 8 years ago and it had two bottles of perfume oil in it. I don't know where I put the bottles, so this listing is for the box only. Great item to store your Egyptian perfume oils in.

    Size is 7.5" x 4.5" x 2.5".

Guerlain Paris
Shalimar Extrait Parfum
2 oz No 90 Crystal Flacon

  • Hi Deb,

I am thrilled at how quickly this got here, and practically speechless about the Shalimar juice and bottle. You were so right to encourage me to get this, I wouldn't have been happy with a tiny No 90 bottle - this one is to die for, so beautiful. And the perfume! I have a bottle of the reformulated EDP spray, and while that's nice in its way, it would be more accurate for Guerlain to say that the modern version is merely reminiscent of Shalimar. Thank you for all your help, your suggestions, your careful packaging and sealing of these treasures.

I'm glad you still have a healthy supply of vintage Shalimar in the No 90 bottles. This perfume is big - the small bottle is no match, symbolically.

Jean Patou
Le Sien (Hers)

  • Touted in 1929 as one of the first unisex sports fragrances created. It was shown at the Paris museum of fashion Palais Galliéra in the current “Années Folles” exhibition, and explicitly marketed as a fragrance men could wear, but being produced for women.

It is a bottle you won't find anywhere else. Has a metal with paper backed label. When I bought it the label was folded down in two places. I smoothed it back in place, but did not glue it so the label sticks up a bit. Still has residue around the neck. Stopper is stuck and I have not opened it. Original perfume inside looks to be in great condition. Bottle is a three piece mold, embossed Jean Patou and Made in France on bottom. Stopper is crystal. No nicks, cracks or chips, but there are bubbles in the glass from the manufacturing process. Excellent find and one to add to your rare bottle collection.
