Helena Rubinstein
Apple Blossom Cologne
early 1940s bottle

-
Helena Rubinstein Apple Blossom was first launched in 1938. Apple Blossom is a floral fragrance made of lily of the valley, apple blossom, lilac, anise, rose, jasmine, water lily, ylang-ylang, sandalwood and musk notes. Apple Blossom was re-launched in 1948.
Perfume is a little less than half full, approzimately 2 oz left in a 3.375 oz bottle, and it still smells great. The sandalwood and musk have a nice aged smell and the cologne has kept its top notes as well.

Jergens
Ben Hur

RARE and very sought after! 1/4 oz Jergens Ben Hur bottle with label in excellent condition. Smells wonderful. A little more than half full.
The Andrew Jergens Company of Cincinnati, developed the Ben Hur line of toiletries in 1904. Based on the title of a bestselling novel by Lew Wallace from 1880, a high grossing Broadway production from 1898, and later, a silent movie.
People sell imitations of Ben Hur, and they describe the scent as roses and ylang ylang. I smell Tonka Bean and Orange blossoms. Really nice perfume. I think Calvin Kleins's Obsession was a their attempt to copy Ben Hur.

Dear Deb,
Happy New Year to you! Received a package today. Everything came without damage. It was a smart move on your part to pour the perfume into a separate bottle. Thus, the box was not damaged. Thank you. May 2022 bring you health, good luck and many good things. We will be in touch. Sincerely, Svetlana

Corday
Toujours Toi
4 oz eau de Parfum

Corday used this bottle design for two fragrances, Toujours Toi and Toujours Moi. Toujours Toi translates to Always You. Beautiful bottle and great perfume. I got this bottle early in my collecting and it was full. I have used half of the fragrance and I can guarantee it to be very wearable, even though it is from 1950, it is still in great condition. There is exactly two ounces left of this very rare perfume. See the ad from 1951. This is very rare, while you will find some Toujours Moi, Toujours Toi is not found easily. It is not even listed as one of their perfumes in lists of Corday perfumes.

Guerlain
Vintage Shalimar
Baccarat

This is the large Shalimar Perfume Bottle that was made by the famous House of Baccarat for Guerlain, Paris, in the 1950s, and it has its original paper label. It has the original Cobalt Stopper with marks underneath that read 137\with a curlicue. This shows that the stopper has never been ground down. It measures 5 3/4" tall and 4" wide. Under the base is the stamp "Guerlain, Paris, France, along with the circular Baccarat seal. There are no chips, but the bottom show a minor bit of wear. I have seen this one priced all the way up to $1000.00

Boucheron
Boucheron
1/2 oz Parfum

This is an authenthic original formula bottle of Boucheron by Boucheron in fabulous condition. It is the Frosted Glass Ring Bottle. Truly a beautiful, elegant perfume. If I didn't own several bottles, I would have dug into this in a heartbeat. I bought it as a backup in case I ran out. This is the old style of bottle, and if you look you won't find many around that are still full of real parfum. If you got it, you use it up! It is not to be overlooked if you are looking for a wonderful, feel good perfume. Boucheron is everything that a fragrance should be; complex, unique, intense and memorable.
Boucheron evokes your senses with hints of Apricot, Tangerine, Bergamot, Jasmine, Tuberose, Madagascar Ylang-Ylang, Orris Root, Lydia Broom, Lily-of-the-Valley, Cedar, Orange Blossom, Geranium, and Narcissus. What stays with you for a longer time is the sensuous base of Civet, Benzoin, Tonka Bean, Indian Vanilla, Oakmoss, Ambergris, and Musk. Further, the design of the original bottle of the Boucheron perfume looks gorgeous, making it even more desirable.

J Giraud Fils Paris
Ses Fleurs Jasmin
Vintage 1 1/2 oz Parfum Sealed in Box
Click on each photo for larger view of it
-
This is a vintage bottle of one of my favorite French perfume companies. This was released as part of their single note perfume series called Ses Fleurs. I had an identical bottle but it was Violet. This one is fabulous and still sealed! Jasmin and violet are my two favorite perfumes and Giraud does them well! I collect J Giraud perfumes. My absolute favorite is Cassiris and I have several of those, including a sealed bottle in a different bottle design.
The stopper on this bottle is breathtaking and is very detailed. I removed the wire around the neck 8 years ago, but was unable to remove the stopper. I didn't try very hard. No evaporation, so I consider this still sealed. I would date this to pre 1935.
