Ambergris Oil
So what is the hype all about?
I was a teenager in the 1970s, and I use to visit the head shops and I remember all the oils of the 70s. I use to wear Jovan's oils, but I never owned a bottle of Alyssa Ashley Ambergris Oil.
I own several brands of Ambergris Oil, but didn't own one a Alyssa Ashley Ambergris Oil, so I always wondered why there was such a cult following for the AA Ambergris Oil. I saw the benefit of Ambergris Oil as a fixative but wondered why anyone would want to wear just the oil. Jovan Ambergris is nice, but nothing to jump up and down about. So when I recently got the chance to have a bottle of the AA Ambergris Oil, I had to smell it and know what the attraction was. Now I know. It is way beyond what Ambergris Oil is on its own. AA Ambergris Oil is a blend of which, I can not identify the ingredients, but it is more than just Ambergris. It is not musky. The scent is familiar, as I can detect the Ambergris, but other than that, I get no scent of rose, or jasmine or any other specific note. It is a blend that creates its own note. It does has a sharpness that I can compare to labdanum, but that sharpness soon mellows. The more times I test this oil, the more I fall under its spell. I can say, I am a believer and a lover of this scent. Which I should also state lasts a good 10-12 hours of yumminess.
